The Greensboro Fire Department conducts live fire training at Greensboro on Friday, April 26, 2024. These exercises are for current firefighters to practice extinguishment, ventilation and search techniques. According to the Greensboro Fire Department, the training provides the opportunity for firefighters to gain valuable practice and experience in fire control, search techniques, and extinguishment. Heavy amounts of smoke that did not pose hazards to the public was visible in the training area during the live fire training.
